A year ago, Once UI was little more than an idea. Today, it powers thousands of projects, has crossed 100,000 npm downloads, and is supported by a growing community of designers, developers, students, founders and curious builders from around the world. First of all: thank you. Many of you have followed this journey from the beginning. Some contributed code. Some reported bugs. Some became customers. Many simply shared our work with others. Every milestone we've reached has been possible because of that support. As the way we build software continues to change, we've been asking ourselves an important question: How can we create a sustainable business while making more of our work accessible to everyone? Today, we're introducing a new funding model for Once UI. Instead of keeping everything behind a paywall forever, we'll progressively open-source premium resources as funding milestones are reached. Each milestone permanently unlocks new assets, templates, tools and resources for the entire community. What gets unlocked stays unlocked. Our hope is simple: the more support Once UI receives, the more value flows back into the open-source ecosystem. At the same time, we're excited to share the next step in that journey. Today we're opening private beta access to Aveiro. Aveiro is our attempt to rethink website creation from first principles. Most website builders start with a blank canvas and unlimited freedom. We believe great design should be the default. Instead of spending hours configuring layouts, styling components and connecting external tools, Aveiro provides a structured foundation built on the design principles we've refined through Once UI. Sites, pages, blogs, email collection, analytics, AI-assisted creation and publishing all work together as part of a single system. We're still early, and there's a lot to improve, but the vision is becoming real. Over the coming months we'll continue refining Once UI Core, improving Aveiro and experimenting with new ways of building sustainable, community-driven software.
